We are delighted to welcome three teams from our Partner Club in Massachusetts, Valeo FC, to Athlone for the next week.

The teams, which are under 14, under 15 and under 16, will play a number of friendlies against Athlone Town AFC Teams, Shamrock Rovers FC Teams and Republic of Ireland teams and will use the Athlone Town Stadium for all their matches and training sessions.

Having played the Shamrock Rovers Teams yesterday, just a day after they arrived, they will now take on the Athlone Town AFC Development Teams on Sunday

• Sunday 20th August, 2.00pm – Valeo U14 V Athlone Town AFC U13 Development Squad
• Sunday 20th August, 4.00pm – Valeo U15 V Athlone Town AFC U15 Development Squad
• Sunday 20th August, 6.00pm – Valeo U16 V Athlone Town AFC U16 Development Squad

On Thursday, 24th August, they will take on the Republic of Ireland teams
• Thursday 24th August, 12.00pm – Valeo U14 V Republic of Ireland U14
• Thursday 24th August, 2.00pm – Valeo U15 V Republic of Ireland U15
• Thursday 24th August, 4.00pm – Valeo U16 V Republic of Ireland U16

It’s not going to be all hard work and no play though as they will get some time off for some sight-seeing and other activities.
